Dilophosauridae is a family (as of yet, not officially described, however) of early theropods once considered ceratosaurians and classified within Coelophysoidea. They are now considered to be more closely related to the more advanced tetanurans (megalosauroids, carnosaurians, and coelurosaurians). Some are known for their decorative head crests, which some scientist have considered to be solely for display, noting their apparent fragility. Dilophosaurids tend to be Wind Dinosaurs.
