Liberia is a diminutive nation in West Africa that is largely ignored by the rest of the world, and with good reason: Since when has anyone heard of anything good coming out of Liberia? For that matter, when is the last time anyone has heard of anything good coming out of Africa in general - besides Nelson Mandela, of course? In any case, Liberia does indeed exist (geographically, at least); and as every dog has its day, the present article celebrates that of Liberia.

Amerykanie mają ropę, a Liberyjczycy – flagę.

  • Liberia is a country in Africa. Their flag so closely resembles the American Flag, because they once got trading from there, and the USA founded Liberia as a haven for freed slaves. It was part of the 2014 Ebola epidemic crisis, because Ebola hit it.

  • Approximately 40% of the population of Liberia follow Christianity or Christianity intermingled with ideas from indigenous African religions. Islam is the religion of 20% of Liberia's people. There are small numbers of atheists and followers of the Baha'i Faith, Hinduism and Sikhism. Less than 0.1% of Liberia's people are Buddhists. The constitution of Liberia guarantees religious freedom. In spite of frequent interaction between different religious groups some tensions remain.
  • Liberia is a country in Africa that was once known as Commieria. America changed its name to Liberia after we liberated them (and their oil) from themselves. And to show their gratitude, those ingrates that may or may not exist ripped off the American flag design. When America-hating flag-burners run out of American flags to burn and also run out of Israeli flags, Union Jacks, and Danish flags to torch, they might go into the flag store and, finding no flags of hated enemies left to buy/loot and set fire to, shrug and get a few Liberian flags and just burn those instead. Oh well, death to Liberia!

  • Liberia was founded by African Americans who had gained their freedom, having once been slaves. This group of ex-slaves moved back to Africa, founded the city of Monrovia (named after the American president of the time, James Monroe) and proceeded to subjugate the tribal people living in the rest of the country. By the middle of the 20th Century, the Americo-Liberian minority had a stranglehold on the politics and economy of the nation. Those Africans who were the original "Liberians" were treated as second-class citizens.
  • Settlement of freed slaves from the US in what is today Liberia began in 1822; by 1847, the Americo-Liberians were able to establish a republic. William TUBMAN, president from 1944-71, did much to promote foreign investment and to bridge the economic, social, and political gaps between the descendents of the original settlers and the inhabitants of the interior. In 1980, a military coup led by Samuel DOE ushered in a decade of authoritarian rule. In December 1989, Charles TAYLOR launched a rebellion against DOE's regime that led to a prolonged civil war in which DOE himself was killed. A period of relative peace in 1997 allowed for elections that brought TAYLOR to power, but major fighting resumed in 2000. An August 2003 peace agreement ended the war and prompted the resignation of former
  • Liberia is a small, African country most noteable for its German Reich insignia. Over the past 30 to 40 years, the leadership has been strongly right-winged and very anti-semetic. In late 1992, following the ideals of the National Socialist Founders of Liberia Richard Brown ousted Arthur Tubman as National and party Leader. 'Grand Chancellor' Brown as he is known as has signalled his intent on reforming the state to increase the countries prestige and power. The Chancellor has targeted unemployment, crime, poverty and the economy as his first targets in his new agenda.
