The Tenth Doctor and Martha Jones came to the prison. The Doctor was put into the same cell as Lok, and removed his inhibitor. The two then broke out and broke into Gurney's office. Acting on his imperatives, Lok saw fit that the prison should be sterilised, killing the prisoners, believing Gurney's actions have shown him that 'they are beyond rehabilitation'. - Lok has always been a pirate world, and is full of dangers. It is home to a frightening array of pirate forces, monstrous reptiles, and remnants of the Trade Federation. The Kimogila, perhaps Lok's most famous creature, has strength and size that competes with Tatooine's Krayt Dragons. Because of this, Lok is more advanced than the previous five planets and serves as a transition from the starting worlds to the adventure worlds; it has a large city with large structures like Tatooine, Naboo etc. but is also more dangerous than these planets. Lok's surface is primarily a flat, lifeless wasteland crossed with rivers and lakes of sulfur and scarred by an enormous active volcano in the south.
- Lok was a barren, dusty planet in the Outer Rim. Sulfur pools, lifeless rivers and volcanoes were the common geographical features. Lok was also home of the Kimogilla creature. Nym lived and was orphaned as a child on Lok. He was a warlord during years leading up to the Clone Wars and founded a pirate group known as the Lok Revenants. They attacked ships coming and leaving the planet until Nym declared war against the Trade Federation, which later occupied the planet. After ten years, in 22 BBY, the Lok Revenants reclaimed the planet.
