  • Philippe Audet was a professional hockey player that played for the Detroit Red Wings in the NHL. Drafted by Detroit in 1995, Audet played his first four NHL games in 1998-99 and has had a tough time cracking a blueline lineup chock full of thirty something veterans. He had an excellent career in junior in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, increasing his scoring from 19 to 40 to 52 goals. He helped the Granby Predateurs win the 1996 Memorial Cup and won the Ed Chynoweth Trophy as the best player in the tournament. He had gone 52nd overall in the 1995 NHL Entry Draft. When he got to the Red Wings farm team in Adirondack the goals stopped. Since those four games he has been in the minors. He was traded to the Phoenix Coyotes for Todd Gill at the deadline in 2000 but the Coyotes never called him up to the NHL. In 2001 he went to Europe for four of the following five years, interrupted by a season in the Ligue Nord-Américaine de Hockey in Quebec. Audet has played in that league since 2005.
