Lycophidion capense, or the Cape wolf snake, is an oviparous, non-venomous snake which occurs over a wide area of south to central Africa. The species contains a number of subspecies, including L. capense capense. The wolf snake feeds mostly on lizards, which it bites and kills by constriction.
