Ancient dragons are monsters in Might and Magic II: Gates to Another World. There are two locations in the Dragon's Dominion cave where the player's party will encounter a lone ancient dragon, both dragons leaving 10,000,000 gold pieces and 1,000 gems instead of generic treasure chests when defeated. They may also appear in the Desert of Desolation and Square Lave Cavern, albeit rarely.

  • Ancient dragons are monsters in Might and Magic II: Gates to Another World. Ancient dragons attack with extreme strength and accuracy, often hitting characters for an average of about 700 damage with their melee attacks. They can also be difficult to kill due to their high HP and armor class, as well as some magic resistances. Since they usually only attack one party member per turn without eradicating him/her, ancient dragons can usually be overcome with enough patience and an adequate supply of healing resources in the party. They can use an energy breath attack that can deal massive damage to six party members at once, though, but they very rarely use this. As long as the player has patience and luck on their side, the guaranteed ancient dragons in the game can be defeated repeatedly for a vast supply of experience points, gold and gems.
