Gamilas General Goer uses balanodons in an attack against the Earth battleship Yamato, remotely controlling the creatures from a fighter craft to coalesce them into a large monstrous form. After shock cannon impacts fail to destroy the balanodons, Yamato eliminates them with its wave motion gun ("Charge! Balanosaurus Special Attack Group!").
