| - Canadian Rock Composer and Drummer as well as Story Teller Neil Peart has based many of his classic lyrics on J.R.R. Tolkien.
- Neil Peart was born about the same time as the creation of the universe, his parents were a big blue giant and a big rock shaped like Abraham Lincoln , who happened to be touring with his band in Canada at the time when he had a night of serious indiscretion. This might explain why Peart has some serious rhythm despite being white. Almost from his very first breath, it was apparent that he was a very gifted child; a gifted child with some real issues. Born with a pair of drumsticks in his hand, he immediately began drumming the beat of YYZ with one hand and stabbed the pleasantly chubby doctor through the side of his neck with the other. He then proceeded to watch the doc bleed out, then he cut his own umbilical cord and walked off to find the bathroom and take a piss.
- Neil Ellwood Peart, (; born September 12, 1952), is a Canadian musician and author. He is the drummer and lyricist for the rock band Rush. Peart has received numerous awards for his musical performances, and is known for his technical proficiency and stamina. Peart grew up in Port Dalhousie, Ontario (now part of St. Catharines). During adolescence, he floated between regional bands in pursuit of a career as a full-time drummer. After a discouraging stint in England to concentrate on his music, Peart returned home, where he joined a local Toronto band, Rush, in the summer of 1974.

He then proceeded to watch the doc bleed out, then he cut his own umbilical cord and walked off to find the bathroom and take a piss. Peart was a precocious toddler as well and began to hone his skills at a young age, such as drumming, learning French, riding a unicycle, painting, baking German chocolate cakes, playing a trombone, drumming, wrestling, kicking ass at Pokemon, writing HTML code, lockpicking, drumming, bullfighting, performing differential calculus, wielding a flamethrower, drumming, drawing Hentai, bare-knuckles streetfighting, kitten huffing, drumming, actually comprehending Nirvana lyrics, cooking up meth, throwing shuriken, anal fisting, drumming, and of course editing Uncyclopedia. It was not long before he continued hunting fat people as well, and by age seven his body count was already in the double-digits (though he has never specified exactly how many).
Early in his career, Peart's performance style was deeply rooted in hard rock. He drew most of his inspiration from drummers such as Keith Moon and John Bonham, players who were at the forefront of the British hard rock scene. As time passed, he began to emulate jazz and big band musicians Gene Krupa and Buddy Rich. In 1994, Peart became a friend and pupil of jazz instructor Freddie Gruber. It was during this time that Peart decided to revamp his playing style by incorporating jazz and swing components. Gruber was also responsible for introducing him to the products of Drum Workshop, the company whose products Peart currently endorses. In addition to being a musician, Peart has published several memoirs about his travels. Peart is also Rush's primary lyricist. In writing lyrics for Rush, Peart addresses universal themes and diverse subject matter including science fiction, fantasy, and philosophy, as well as secular, humanitarian and libertarian themes. All five of his books are travel-based non-fiction, though they diverge into his life and these subjects as well. Peart currently resides in Santa Monica, California, with his wife, photographer Carrie Nuttall, and daughter, Olivia Louise. He also has a home in the Laurentian Mountains of Quebec, Canada, and spends time in Toronto for recording purposes.
