The estate was bordered to the north by Meadway, to the east by the Poolway Shopping Centre and Meadway estate, to the south by 1950s semi-detached council housing and to the west by the Broadstones Hostel. The estate was planned and constructed as two separate phases, with the first phase receiving approval in 1963. The first phase included the construction of two 9 storey tower blocks and was constructed in 1965 by DL. The second phase included a single 9 storey tower block of identical design on the opposite side of Sheldon Heath Road and was approved in 1966. It was constructed the following year, again by DL. The estate was demolished in the 2000s by City Demolition after it had suffered from serious social problems.
