Katherine Ashcombe was the wife of former SFPD Comissioner Harry Ashcombe. Katherine came from a wealthy family. Her father gave her and Harry a very large home as a wedding present. One night, while away from the house, her husband called and told her that her beloved dog was hit by a car. Katherine began to rush home at high speed--which is what her husband knew she would do. As she passed a Ranger station on a cliff road, Harry set a trap for her that sent her car careening over the cliff. Katherine was killed in the impact.
