"Co-Pilot" is the ninth episode of Season 2 of The Shield and the 22nd episode of the series as a whole. It was originally broadcast on March 4, 2003. Months before Season 1 began, we see the first day of work at the Barn. Vic Mackey and the Strike Team attempt to take down a rising drug lord, but their methods start clashing with Captain Aceveda. Also, Detectives Claudette Wyms, Tom Gannon, and Dutch Wagenbach try to capture three Mexican kidnappers. Finally, Officer Danny Sofer takes her protege Julien Lowe on their first day around Farmington.

Co-Pilot is a United States Army Air Forces junior grade officer who is the assistant pilot in the lead American B-17 bomber of a squadron which flies near Stalag 13. He, along with the plane's pilot, notices the lighted arrow (provided by the prisoner's lit lighters) which points towards the nearby Adolf Hitler bridge. After talking with the pilot, the two turn their plane towards the bridge. After the bombing raid, he help to lead the other planes back towards England.
