  • The Dropship is a ship that appears in both Perfect Dark and Perfect Dark Zero.
  • In the company's later years, the dinosaur transport ships were transformed into huge ships. One of them, DinoCorp VII, crashed during transportation of dinosaurs to Earth, starting the Cityscape incident.
  • In the 22nd and 23rd centuries, dropships were thruster- and impulse-powered craft designed more for atmospheric reentry and recovery than long-range spaceflight. Low-yield warp engines were added by the early 24th century. Azhanti-class lifeboats, on Cheyenne-class and Miranda-class cruisers, were often used as dropships. (USS Cheyenne Operations Manual)
  • A dropship is a small type of ship that can drop and pickup troopers on planets. They are equipped with guns at the cockpit. Depending on type and size, each ship carries either one squad, one platoon or one company that is hot dropped onto a surface of a planet, either in infantry combat gear or using drop suits.
  • The Dropship is a small space-capable aircraft used to rapidly deploy infantry and various types of vehicles on the battlefield. Infantry are deployed from the dropship by way of the burn-in, while vehicles are deployed via magnetic carrying pads on the 'belly' of the ship that unlatch the vehicle once the dropship has hovered a safe distance above the ground. Dropships can be piloted by either human pilots or an onboard artificial intelligence, though onboard AI is the more preferred piloting system.
  • Dropships were any craft designed to transport troops to the surface of a planet. Models of dropship included the Imperial Dropship Transport, the Theta-class barge, and the Y-85 Titan dropship. The Gozanti-class cruisers could also be used as dropships, as they could carry either four TIE/ln space superiority starfighters, four All Terrain Defense Pods or even two All Terrain Armored Transports on underside-mounted docking clamps.
  • The Dropship is the first area you go to when you begin the game of MechQuest. You start off here with a Newbatron V1 mecha, with customizable features. On the ship, you can talk to, and battle other people and weaker Monsters to efficiently level up and take on more credits, which you can spend to get equip-able gear. To the left, you will Meet Tek, who sells and repairs damaged Mecha's. If you get enough credits, you can buy the upgraded Newbatorn V1337, which is superior to your beginner Mech. All the way to the right, you can fly the ship and ask Sys-Zero to land in Soluna City.
  • Dropships are lightly armored spacecraft used by the Space Pirates in Metroid Prime: Federation Force. When the Federation Force attacks the Pirate Warship in M16: Slipstream, Dropships are summoned to defend the ship, although their only attack is a side-mounted cannon. Due to their light armor, they are easy to destroy. It is similar to a Space Pirate ATC, apart from the armor shielding. Dropships are also present in M10: Black Hole. There are also 2 Elite Dropships, present in M16: Slipstream.
  • A dropship is an aircraft that can carry assault troops, among other things. They stay up using antigravity, so they can hover in place like a helicopter, but they're a lot larger. They are used by almost all major military and paramilitary forces, including the MCO, ARC and the Syndicate. Because of the expense of their anti-gravity units and their high energy usage, however, they are generally reserved for elite units (such as the US Army Fast Reaction Force) by conventional militaries; apparently, some groups, such as the MCO and the Knights of Purity, are willing to spend the money to use them more extensively.
  • The Lockheed C-130 Hercules Dropship is a four-engine turboprop Transport Aircraft capable of airdropping personnel, supplies and equipment, such as vehicles and care packages, within a theater of operations. It is used alongside its attack variant, the AC-130 Spectre.
  • A dropship is a small craft used to transport personnel from starships to planets. Dropships were used by Earth Starfleet to deploy MACOs from space to the ground. In 2156, MACOs used dropships to land on Berengaria during the Second Battle of Berengaria. (ENT novel: Beneath the Raptor's Wing) The Romulan Empire use Zemba-class dropships. (ST - Tales of the Dominion War short story: "Twilight's Wrath") The Even Odds had a dropship. (DS9 novels: Rising Son, Sacraments of Fire)
  • File:Q4.png The Dropship is the standard method of planetary deployment for SMC infantry. Not seen in the first invasion of Stroggos, the dropship deploys thousands of troops en-masse during the second invasion. Fast and nimble, it can outmaneuver and avoid Strogg homing missiles in the hands of a skilled pilot (or a well-programmed AI). Although the Dropship lacks any offensive weaponry, it is armed with anti-ordnance countermeasures for avoiding any anti-aircraft fire, though they are apparently ineffective at confusing the Strogg missiles fired en masse at them.
  • The dropship is a vehicle used by the atlantic allience and the repubplic of pacifica. Used to transport their own soldiers. Their are two variants. The light variant which transport small vehicles and soldiers. The heavy variant is used to transport lots of cargo like a C-130 and an entire platoon. The pacifican dropship only has a light variant. The Allience light is armed with a mini gun and two rocket pods. The pacifican light is armed with a canonn similar to vulcan and a manned dragons breath turret
  • A dropship (or drop ship) was any craft designed to transport troops, droids, supplies, or vehicles to the surface of a planet, either for peaceful purposes or in the case of planetary assaults. Dropships were commonly deployed from starships incapable of atmospheric flight or landing. Most dropships lacked hyperdrives and boasted relatively few armaments or defences. Transports are sometimes classed as Dropships.
  • The UEE Dropship was mentioned by Foundry 42 design director Nick Elms in the April 2014 Star Citizen monthly development report.
  • Decepticlone Dropships are the standard form of transportation for Decepticlone forces. They are heavily armoured and thus resistant to most basic forms of weaponry, however, a Dropship can be brought down with either concentrated firepower or considerable force. Dropships have no offensive capabilities of their own, and it is unknown if they are piloted vehicles or have their own (limited) artificial intelligence, however, it is most likely they are piloted, due to the prescence of a cockpit. Dropships are used to combat the Autobots by deploying squads of varying Decepticlones into the combat zone. Some Decepticlones may remain in the Dropship after the deployment, in which case the Dropship will hover above the ground and allow the remaining Decepticlones to attack from the air. Under t
  • The Dropships all deployed troops down onto the battlefield and were almost always used as offensive gunships, as most of them possessed lasers. The Blarg in the original game possessed several of these ships to deploy their elite troopers.During Going Commando, Extermibots use these when sent in to combat the Protopet menace invading Allgon City, Damosel.
  • Dropship (ドロップシップ Doroppushippu?) is a small ship from the Mega Man Legends series created by Banner for landing in rough atmospheres. The ship's top has propellers that rotate at high speed to reduce the falling speed. The top also has a balloon to lift the ship, so the user can leave the area it landed.
