The common fern bamboo, also known as the common African fern bamboo, is a species of fern bamboo native to Africa. It can grow to about 29 feet tall and can have a stem that is about half a feet in diameter. It is mainly found in swamps, forests, subtropical forests, and tropical rainforests, but can survive in human settlements if the conditions are right.
