- Ched Nasad (oder auch Stadt der schimmernden Netze) war einst eine Metropole der Drow und Sinnbild ihrer Verehrung für Lolth. Die Drow errichteten die Siedlung in einer riesigen Höhle, welche von Faerzress umgeben war und guten Schutz gegen Teleportation bot. In die Höhle wurden gigantische Netze mit Hilfe riesiger, durch mächtige Magie herbeigerufener Spinnen gesponnen und versteinert. Diese bilden die Straßen und Gebäude der Stadt und geben ihr das Aussehen eines riesigen Spinnenbaus mit zahllosen Kokons. Weiter oben befanden sich die riesigen Domizile der mächtigen Häuser, während in den unteren Bereichen die Quartiere der niederen Bewohner und der Sklaven, sowie die Handelsplätze und Lagerhäuser waren. Auch in den vielen Seitentunneln und Höhlen befanden sich weitere Bereiche der Stadt
- The City of Shimmering Webs, Ched Nasad, was constructed in a cavern shaped like a cone with the tip pointing downwards. The various levels and the more influential buildings in the city are made out of extra thick spiderweb strands, thus giving the city its name. It was not featured prominently in the Realms until the War of the Spider Queen series, where duergar mercenaries in the employ of the Vhaeraunite group Jaezred Chaulssin, inadverdantly destroyed it through copious use of stonefire bombs, which were much more effective on the webs that held it together than on stone. Out of the 30,000 drow who made up the city's population, around 3,000 survived the disaster.
