Synopsis
| - In the year 2045, the Earth's climate has drastically changed as man toiled with climatological experiments that caused a crash in temperatures. The Hazeltyne Corporation has helped rebuilt the United States of America and has setup safezones and smaller colonies for people to survive. The corporation battles climate-based crimes and issues with their technology.
left|thumb|The White Wizard strikes.
At the New Mercy Settlement in upstate New York, children play as a snow fall has occurred which does not occur naturally. The Hazeltyne Corporation responds and tracks the climate changing precipitation signature. From the shadows, a often spoken of legend, the White Wizard lurks in the shadows and causes the snow to fall while avoiding the corporation soldiers. He causes an avalanche that brings down a water tower on the soldiers tracking him.
Meanwhile in Massachusetts at the Cooperative University for Climatological Research, a professor speaks about the good and peace that the corporation has brought. Anthony Farrow, a student at the class, quips with a classmate to not believe the educational system and jets out of class. The professor watches closely as the boy leaves and knows to keep an eye on the boy. Outside, he runs into fellow students during his run away. He yells at them to open their eyes and recognize the false education they are receiving.
Inspector Davitika Deal arrives at the scene and spots the wreckage and her fallen soldiers. The Mayor approaches her and demands and update with information on how they'll be protected. She tells him the Hazeltyne corporation doesn't have the power to make it snow like this. She believe the tales of a White Wizard are true and that he's caused it. The Mayor scoffs at such a ridiculous notion. She assures him it's real, as there is a connection with the date of this strike and a ten year event that occurred with the White Wizard. She looks at a nearby girl who is playing in the snow.
Elsewhere, Anthony attempts to track down the White Wizard. When a waitress tips him off to an area that is cold and has no activity, he knows to find the man there.
Tony approaches the house in the dead zone and finds August Reasons in his home. He tells him he knows he's the White Wizard. August denies being the wizard and ushers him away. When Anthony attempts to leave, he's suddenly attacked by the White Wizard and a snowstorm.
When he wakes up, the wizard interrogates him as to his connection with the corporation as he knows he is a student at their university. He watches news briefs and sees the corporation reports that the White Wizard has caused a terrorist attacks. On the TV he spots the girl that was alive and playing in the snow when he left, has been murdered and had her arm severed. He cries that he knows he was setup.
