Eli Bilbrey appears in The Passenger in the Oven. After spending most of the flight drunk and passed out, its revealed that Eli murdered his father's mistress Elizabeth Jones (suggested by Booth to be the reason he got drunk) and is arrested by Booth for the murder just before the plane lands in China and Eli would thus be out of his jurisdiction. Eli, Booth and Bones stay on the plane, waiting for the plane to be refueled and a new pilot to fly them home. Eli's parents have to return home on their own dime as he is now in federal custody. Eli is left in coach as Booth and Bones fly back in first class and asks if they're going to make out. According to Angela Montenegro, Eli was simply a sixteen year old kid who had a dying mother and a cheating father and just wanted to make it all stop.
