  • The Doldur Asteroid Belt was located in the Doldur sector and comprised of thousands of asteroids ranging from boulder-sized all the way up to the size of small planets. The larger asteroids were home to several colonies of various species until the time of the Stellar Imperial War. The Dantooine virus struck the colonies of the asteroid belt in 28 ABY, wiping out all life on the colonies in a matter of days. Part of the Stellar Imperial fleet under Lord Keran quarantined the area, but not before three people managed to escape. One of them survived long enough to reach the Chery System and spread the contagion further. A task force of four Jedi went to the asteroids to investigate the loss of contact, much like the one that went to Dantooine. This task force included the following: * Jedi Master Mara Jade Skywalker * Jedi Master Kyp Durron * Jedi Knight Alema Rar * Jedi Knight Jaina Solo The plan was to drop Mara and Alema onto the asteroids while Jaina and Kyp flew out and returned to pick them up two days later. They were, however, under heavy Stellar Imperial fire and Kyp was not able to send Mara down. Alema did reach the asteroids, and she was able to compile a few reports about her findings before she died. The asteroids were completely devoid of life shortly after the viral plague and were not re-colonized as of 48 ABY.
