- Tawa is the name given to a very recently (as of December 2009) discovered dinosaur, thought to be an ancestor of T-Rex. It is named after a Pueblo sun god. Tawa is thought to have feathers, very unusual for a Triassic dinosaur! It is thought to have lived around 215mya, in the Middle Triassic. Not very much is known about Tawa, but hope is that extensive research and analysis will help unlock the history of the dinosaurs' evolutionary chain. Maybe proof will appear that it is related to T-Rex, after all!
- Totally Awesome Wrestling Alliance (Also known as TAWA Pro) is a comedy promotion opened up by two men. Stardy McIdiot (French for Idiotman) and current XWA and HBW star Black Majik. They are actually both the same man playing different gimmicks. The point of TAWA Pro? For the people in attendance (And those who have bought it on DVD) to have a nice little laugh. They play under the same rules as CHIKARA, 3 Points gets you a title shot, be it Singles or Tag, with the winner of the World Title getting to pick what the belt currently is and stuff, just for awesomeness. They run one-two shows a month, unless its a tournament. Oh, and all is fair in TAWA, if you are a boy or a girl, it doesn't matter.

The verdant city of Tawa home to Tawa AFC and the Tawa College 1st XI is a footballing community boasting some of the best footballers in the country and a large population of exquisite cricketers. Tawa, also known as Porirua South, has been called the "City That Never Sleeps" by some and the "New Zealand Bible Belt" by others; there have been countless other names also (some nice and pink and fluffy, and some really more hurtful than necessary). Many refer to it as 'The Capital City of The Capital City', and you can take that to the bank (BNZ at the back of the mall, because Postbank shut down and the ANZ closed too).

Tawa, also known as Porirua South, has been called the "City That Never Sleeps" by some and the "New Zealand Bible Belt" by others; there have been countless other names also (some nice and pink and fluffy, and some really more hurtful than necessary). This delightfully diverse suburban sprawl takes its name from its founding mother 'Lynn of Tawa', who according to legend washed up on the shore of the Willowbank stream in a shoebox the size of a homicidal rabbit and proceeded to create the bustling location Tawa is today.
