Bone-takers lived in the Aulmad, and unlike the facestretchers and flaymen, they were solitary creatures. Not much is known about them, other than the fact that they carried whetstones, and used scalpels on their victims. When Hitch was hiding from the tribe of facestretchers that had captured Jassad Attqua, he heard one of the groups arguing that they should kill their prisoner and leave, since the area was "well-known to be the haunt of bone-takers and flaymen". Luckily, the rest of the groups voted them down, and Hitch was eventually able to rescue his friend.
