USS Security (AMc-103) was an Accentor-class coastal minesweeper acquired by the U.S. Navy for the dangerous task of removing mines from minefields laid in the water to prevent ships from passing. Security was laid down on 29 April 1941 by H.G. Marr, Damariscotta, Maine; launched on 27 September 1941; sponsored by Miss Louise Marr; and placed in service on 11 March 1942, Lt. (jg.) R.C. Robbins, Jr., USNR, officer in charge.
