Kenji Fujitsu was a member of the Japanese National Police, one of the most decorated policemen in the country, but left after attacking Agawa, a member of the yazuka, without provocation, and turned PI, looking for Riochi Tanaka, a former alleged war criminal turned yazuka boss because he has become very dangerous, unstable, and he turned Agawa (his friend) to the yazuka. Later Fujitsu confronted Agawa and engaged in a samurai swordfight, Fujitsu won and was ready to finish Agawa when Martin "Marty" Castillo intervened and suggested Agawa be forced to live with the disgrace of his loss. Later Fujitsu and Castillo found Tanaka dead from suicide by samurai sword.
