| - Ceti Alpha V was the fifth planet in the Ceti Alpha system. Prior to 2268 it was a Class M planet, however after the destruction of Ceti Alpha VI it had a dramatic climate shift that turned most of the surface to desert reducing it to a Class H planet. (ENT: "Twilight"; Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan) In 2388, Candela Greene and Eric Kramer were stranded on Ceti Alpha V. (Star Trek: Generation Fleet)
- Ceti Alpha V is the third of Puzzle mode's seventeen planets. It becomes available when any four of Tau Heximus' five puzzles have been solved. The puzzles of Ceti Alpha V introduce Hypercubes, and a brief tutorial regarding this type of Special Gem is given upon accessing the planet for the first time. All the puzzles are arranged in various formations and patterns. Every puzzle except the first contains at least one Hypercube, with certain puzzles having more than others do. Completing any four of Ceti Alpha V's five puzzles unlocks access to Seraph III, the next planet in Puzzle mode.

- This shockwave shifted the solar orbit of Ceti Alpha 5 and as a result, a chain reaction of catastrophes ensued. The planet's plate techtonics were greatly disturbed resulting in massive planet-wide earthquakes. Volcanic activity also increased substantially, resulting in an extreme increase in C02 being released into the atmosphere. This caused a runaway greenhouse effect increasing the surface temperatures from an average of 82 degrees F to 140+ degrees F. The surface temperatures are expected to increase continuously and irreversibly as the oceans evaporate and the atmosphere thickens . The PH. balance of the surface water was altered, rendering it too acidic for marine life, killing off a vital part of the planets food chain.
