Defiance Squadron was a Rebel cell operating during the Third Galactic Civil War. The cell was formed by Jedi Master Kara Vaalki following the Battle of Coruscant and the fall of the Galactic Alliance. Vaalki and her followers fought on a number of battlefields, with the Siege of Manaan being its most well-known engagement. During the New Sith Imperium's years-long attack on Manaan, Defiance Squadron was able to hold out against the overwhelming force of the Empire, buying the Selkath and their allies enough time to construct an armada and force the Empire off the planet.
