Many SFA activists are very active in the Sacred Cult, but the two organisations are strictly independent of each other, and the Sacred Cult prohibits its Priesthood from standing for election to public office. Jessica is by far the most politically-minded of the Rochford family, the others being more concerned with religious affairs. Elizabeth and Jonathan are known to be supportive of her endeavours, but are careful to appear aloof from politics. However the SFA is perceived by commentators as intimately entwined with the religious establishment.
