Hexecutioner is considered a "big gun" by other heroes; he has a collection of magical charms and has been observed firing powerful energy blasts and reportedly being able to kill someone from the inside out. Hex helped train many young heroes in the 80s, such as Punchline. In 1988 he was framed for a murder he didn't commit by Liberty Star and was sentenced to prison, where he was placed in solitary confinement. His secret identity was exposed and his wife left him and took the kids. In 1998, Liberty Star admitted his guilt while on his death bed. It took three years for Hexecutioner to be released, Liberty Star's father fighting the process the whole way to save face. Hex's record wasn't cleared until 2004.[1] [2]
