  • The image needs some tweaking, but I think the Affiliate card should look something like this maybe?

  • Now I know I'm not in the position to speak for them, but Auror Andrachrome has been asking me if the Spanish KHW could be affiliated with us. They're asking for the same on KHFR. Up to you guys. ^_^
  • I just went through all of our affiliates to check that they are all linking back to the Kingdom Hearts Wiki. Shockingly, five four three of them are not displaying the name or link at all. *Spanish Kingdom Hearts Wiki: Shows no display of us as an affiliate, yet they feature another affiliate, the Disney Wiki, in that space. I cannot find any link to this wiki over there. *Final Fantasy Wiki: This wiki supposedly has an affiliates page, though I cannot find it and it is not displayed on their front page or side bar. If we are linking to them with easy access through our front page, yet they are not providing the link to our wiki, we are not gaining anything from our affiliation. *Dead Fantasy Wiki: This wiki has an affiliates section on their main page... which we are not listed under. This could be a simple mistake, or a request to de-affiliate. *KH-Vids.Net: The last item in the left column on their front page is called "Affiliates" and lists all of theirs--though we are not listed. In addition to this, GrandPyromania only links to us in his videos of his Kingdom Hearts "Let's Play!", and we are not mentioned anywhere else in his information. Our other YouTube affiliate links to us in their information box, which is a bit more convenient. Should we take action on this, or just let it fly since there is some form of linking ? I suggest we contact these sites and allow a few weeks to a month to allow for them to add us to an affiliates listing or section. If this is not met, we have no choice but to end our affiliation.
  • Every other site shows their affiliates or a link to their affiliates directory on their main page. If FFWiki is not going to display that, they are making it extremely difficult for any of their viewers to find us. It surely will not be much trouble to add a short link to their front page, and I've sent Faethin a memo on the issue. Never mind, they do display it on their front page. It isn't very clear, but it is at the bottom of the page and uses the Wikia Gaming box, so that's why I missed. Sorry for the confusion.
  • Gracias, amigo!
  • Thank you, Organization 13. I'm not saying that any of those wikis would be bad affiliates, but we want to link to wikis that are associated with the subject of our wiki, Kingdom Hearts. Almost every single one of your suggestions is only transitively linked to Kingdom Hearts through Final Fantasy, which means that the link between subjects like Kingdom Hearts and Dragon Quest really just gets lost in that joint connection. On the other hand, Disney Wiki seems like a definitely possible future affiliate, and affiliating with them may help us resolve the issue we have recent had with our... "shared" content. In addition, we should try to reach out to sites other than wikis! Lots of Kingdom Hearts fan and news sites exist out there. For example, Kingdom Hearts Insider, Kingdom Hearts Ultimania, and even KH-Vids.Net could all be great affiliates to us. Our only non-wiki affiliate is Heartstation, we should definitely expand on that.
  • I'll be sure to handle the Wiki card once I've got less on my hands. ^_^
  • An affiliate is any wiki, site, or organization that has decided to link back to the Kingdom Hearts Wiki as a sign of partnership. Most of our affiliates we have due to our related topics. It is not exacatly a friendlist, since we hardly interact with many of our affiliates, nor do they. Affiliation is basically a beneficial partnership to both sites to spread a link to their site to another popular site. The concern about Spyro Wiki has been raised before, but I think it was "settled" by TNE jumping the gun and adding the wiki to our affiliates list. YouTube accounts seem fine to me since those YouTube channels contain "Let's Play"s of Kingdom Hearts, which is the reason we are affiliated with them.
  • I found the Final Fantasy's Affliate page easily. They don't link here on the front page, but it's there.
  • Okay, the Dead Fantasy Wiki has acknowledged our request and added us to their affiliates box on their front page. The Spanish Kingdom Hearts Wiki and KH-Vids.Net, have yet to take any action. They have about a day or so to make the necessary change, or else we will de-affiliate with those two partners from our wiki.
  • I most certainly do not see why not; I have browsed the Spanish Kingdom Hearts Wiki several times (since I really should use some of my Spanish knowledge over there), and it seems like a prospering wiki. Could you prepare another image, Troisnyxetienne?
  • Since I have become admin at the Spyro wiki, I have been sending plenty of links to this wiki. The Spyro wiki will always make sure this wiki is on our affiliates. But is it okay if you do the same for us? We would be honnored if you do, y'know!
  • We did test it out, and when we did there was activity, albeit minimal. If everyone's okay on deleting it, and if we have more than a simple majority, I'm all for removing it. After all...... KHF is still as active as ever.
  • Other possible sites we could ask to affiliate with us: *Dragon Quest Wiki *Wikia Gaming Hub *Star Ocean Wiki *The Chrono Wiki *Dead or Alive Wiki *The World Ends With You Wiki *The Disney Wiki

  • I have been horribly slow getting this to this talk page, and for that I apologise. J.J. Chambers has contacted me regarding a potential affiliation with the FCB Wiki. The user also left a potential watermark which we could use if we chose to accept. I'm not sure what the procedure is here. If an admin could enlighten me, I'd appreciate it. Edit: Bump...
