- The Chaotic Longsword is often regarded as one of the best single-handed weapons in Fire Pk. The CLS is often seen on wealthy players that are killing high leveled monsters. When used with the Saradomin Godsword special attack against monsters, it usually supplies more than enough damage to heal whatever damage the user has taken.
- The Chaotic Longsword has long been known for it's supremacy in PvM (Player vs Monster) situations. Due to its high Strength bonus as well as high Slash & Stab bonus, it proves to be a more reliable PvM sword over than the Chaotic Rapier. While training Slayer as a Legend or lower, it is wise to have a Chaotic Longsword ready to use as it gives high exp gain due to it's accuracy and high hits.

- The chaotic longsword has 30,000 charges of combat (a minimum time of 5 hours). Once the charges run out, it will break and become unusable until repaired by the rewards trader at Daemonheim. When first purchased, it will have a 20% charge. Repairs are made incrementally in 1% portions, and the cost of recharging can be paid in two ways: coins, or a combination of coins and Dungeoneering tokens. All repair costs are reduced by 5% if Daemonheim aura 3 has been earned.
- The chaotic longsword is a slash weapon. Because it is one-handed, it may be combined with an off-hand weapon.
- Na ongeveer 10 uren van Combat (gevecht) zal de Chaotic longsword zich volledig verlagen waardoor het opgeladen moet worden. Elk chaotic wapen begint met een percentage van 20%. Een volledig opgeladen wapen zal 10 uur duren, wanneer het bezielt in een gevecht raakt, wanneer het niet meer gebruikt kan worden. Als het wapen op is kan het opgeladen worden bij de Rewards trader bij Daemonheim. Om dit te doen moeten spelers met de rechte muisknop op hem klikken en selecteren "Recharge" met het aangekozen wapen in de inventory.
