- An hour was a measurement of time, usually equal to 60 minutes. (DTI novel: Watching the Clock) Originating as an Earth measure of time by the Human civilization, hours were used throughout the Federation. In the year 2285, Captain Spock used a simple code of converting hours to days in order to mislead Khan Noonien Singh, who he suspected was eavesdropping communications. Rear Admiral James T. Kirk correctly ascertained Spock's meaning based on a reference to Saavik's "by the book" behavior of following Starfleet regulations. (TOS movie & novelization: The Wrath of Khan)
- In modern usage, a hour is a unit of measurement of time of the duration of 60 minutes, or 3600 seconds. It is 1/24 of a median Earth day. An hour in the Universal Coordinated Time (UTC) time standard can include a negative or positive leap second, and may therefore have a duration of 3599 or 3601seconds for adjustment purposes.
- The hour (symbol: h) is a unit of time. It is not an SI unit but is accepted for use with the SI.
- This page is intended to define the INTERSLAVIC word form for the ENGLISH word at the top of the column to the right. If the INTERSLAVC box is "blank", then a word form has not yet been selected. Immediately below the INTERSLAVIC box is a link entitled "discussion about this word" - which will link you to a "Discussion" page specifically for the WORD at point. Below the Discussion Page link, under "PRIRODNE JEZYKI" ("Natural Languages") are listed the various modern Slavic natural languages - in their respective native language forms (NOTE: some natural language may be missing)
- An hour is, in real life, 60 minutes or 600 rounds. Usally in a module, like the Official Campaign, the amount of minutes in an hour is drastically lowered to allow quicker passage of time. A usual value is 4 minutes per hour (thus it is 40 turns for an hour), but this heavily varies from mod to mod. The range can be anywhere from 1 minute / hour to 60 minutes / hour. The NWN2 Official Campaign scales 2 minutes / hour. Some longer lasting spells are timed in hours rather than minutes or rounds.

The "Slovio" project is no longer active. "Novosloviensky" and "Slovianski", on the other hand, have joined together as "INTERSLAVIC" or "MEDŽUSLOVJANSKI" - each offering a slightly different grammatical format. Here you may access and edit this information.

The NWN2 Official Campaign scales 2 minutes / hour. Some longer lasting spells are timed in hours rather than minutes or rounds. Resting in NWN2 assumes 24 hours has passed (which is hardcoded), therefore most spells end when finishing resting unless they last over 24 hours. Persistant spell effects cause spells to last 24 hours. Thus, they fade upon resting. As such, with the addition of the MotB expansion, high level characters would actually be better of NOT persisting spells that last 1 hour / level.
