- The Octopus is an enemy that is known to be found in Spyro: Year of the Dragon. Octopus can only be found in pools of water in Seashell Shore and Crystal Islands. To defend themselves, they spin wildly, using their arms to harm Spyro. Spyro can easily defeat them by charging. One is seen holding a native of Seashell Shore hostage. When each Octopus is killed for the first time, they will release a red Gem (Seashell Shore) or a blue Gem (Crystal Islands). When you kill the Octopus shaking Stanley the seal, in Seashell Shore, you'll be rewarded with a dragon egg.
