Was Ashfur's murder in vain after all? Hollyleaf's tears streaked her cheeks as she darted wildly around ThunderClan territory. She suddenly stopped when she saw no ground up ahead. ThunderClan camp. No. She could not face them once more. Not after admitting she was the daughter of a medicine cat and a warrior. She was never supposed to exist. Lionblaze came to a halt, Jayfeather scrambling clumsily behind him. Hollyleaf had neared the top of the hollow, but veered away. "Where did she go?" Jayfeather asked. "Not into ThunderClan this way," Lionblaze panted, running back into the forest. Hollyleaf ran back through the forest, paws slipping on the rain-soaked ground now. Where can I go? she thought. Then she remembered. The tunnels. Rain soaked Lionblaze and Jayfeather's pelts. Hollyleaf's scent was going towards the tunnels. Lionblaze shuddered. To him, they meant only hardship and pain. Memories of Heathertail and he playing together, then WindClan attacking them, made him wonder why. Hollyleaf soon arrived at the tunnels. Not long behind were her brothers. "Hollyleaf, it doesn't have to be this way!" Lionblaze shouted. "I have no future with the Clans! I'm half-Clan, I'm not even wanted!" Hollyleaf wailed. Hollyleaf darted into the tunnels, murmuring softly, "Good-bye." A wall of earth came down. "HOLLYLEAF!" Lionblaze yowled. Jayfeather yowled mournfully. Their sister was dead. Lionblaze and Jayfeather padded back to ThunderClan. Up above, a single star shone.
