Early in the previous version, fans discovered that there was a bug that had been causing the Illuminator Vessel to deal large amounts of extra damage. In multiplayer, this caused a large amount of agitation, with some players going so far as to ban Advent from their games. This patch had been widely anticipated if only because it fixed this bug.

It has been noted that there was also an undocumented damage buff to the Skarovas Enforcer. A comment by a developer on the forums confirmed that this change was intentional, and likely was meant to be included in the previous patch.
