In 1969, the Sino-Soviet War started after a few warning shots on Zhenbao Island. The Soviet Union invaded, and destroyed massive parts of Manchurai and Uigurstan. Mao was killed during the siege of Beijing, as was Liu. China surrendered afterwards, and was annexed by the Soviet Union.
