David May-Stein has worked for the Pittsburgh Public Schools for 25 years as a teacher, principal and most recently as an assistant superintendent. In his recent role as Assistant Superintendent of Instructional Leadership, May-Stein supervised a cohort of principals, providing direct support and supervision for 15 schools. In addition, he led the instructional leadership support and served as the team leader for the School Crisis Response Team. He is near completion of his doctorate in Administration from the University of Pittsburgh and earned his master’s degree in Public Management from Carnegie Mellon University.
