The Hitman is the YoYoJam signature yo-yo of Johnnie Delvalle. It is a slightly undersized wide Butterfly yo-yo with large aluminum weight rings. It uses a large bearing and o-ring response. After the success of the orignal Hitman, a hybrid version was also released, which had a starburst on one side and an o-ring on the other. Also released for the Hitman are shims that can be added to the yo-yo to widen its string gap. JD had also used these shims on his Hitman when competing at Worlds.

  • The Hitman is the YoYoJam signature yo-yo of Johnnie Delvalle. It is a slightly undersized wide Butterfly yo-yo with large aluminum weight rings. It uses a large bearing and o-ring response. After the success of the orignal Hitman, a hybrid version was also released, which had a starburst on one side and an o-ring on the other. The Hitman is most known for its appearance at the 2003 World Yo-Yo Contest, where Johnnie Delvalle used it to win in the 1A Division, in the process introducing his revolutionary playing style into the mainstream. His style included two completely new (at the time) techniques - grinding and regeneration. Although people had previously developed regeneration techniques, nobody up to that point had intentionally allowed the yo-yo to stop while performing. In addition, Johnnie performed many new slack and whip tricks during his routine, making that performance particularly notable. Also released for the Hitman are shims that can be added to the yo-yo to widen its string gap. JD had also used these shims on his Hitman when competing at Worlds.
