| - Flag Territory Political government to the Kzinti. The Kzinti Patriarchy have a history of military conflicts with Earth, as the two planets fought a series of four wars between them. Collectively known as the Earth-Kzin Wars, Kzin was always the aggressor and Earth was always the victor. The first of which was fought sometime after first contact in 2063, and the last was concluded by the end of the 2060s. Following the signing of the Treaty of Sirius, the Kzin government, including all Kzinti territories, were essentially demilitarized. The Kzinti were forbid from possessing any sort of weapons or starships – except police vessels, which were used solely for the purpose of peacekeeping. As a political power, The Patriarchy became isolated during the 24th century and not involved during the Dominion War. Privateer forces are more commonly observed. The Kzin homeworld is called "Kzin" by all other races save the Kzinti, who call it "Homeworld." It orbits the star 61 Ursae Majoris, has stronger surface gravity and both a longer day and year than Earth. The Patriarch rules from a large palace on the world. At the end of the last Earth-Kzin War, Kzin was occupied and disarmed by the human armies. In the Star Fleet Universe they became a powerful empire known as the Kzinti Hegemony, mortal enemies of that universe's Lyran Star Empire. In the Star Fleet Command games based on the Star Fleet universe they are simply changed from the Kzinti Hegemony to the Mirak Star League. Rumors continue to persist that the Tzenkethi were based on the Kzinti, but this appears to be a coincidence based mainly on the similarity of the two races' names.
