- A Legionary is a standard infantry class unit of the Cabal species. They are heavily armored, well-trained infantry and are normally deployed with Phalanxes and led by a Centurion. They are very versed in tactics, and are outfitted with jump packs to maneuver quickly around the battlefield.
- A Legionary is a unit featured in some campaign games in Age of Empires II HD: The Forgotten, and is only available in the Scenario Editor. The Legionary is identical to the Elite Jaguar Warrior, except with 2 pierce armor.
- Omega Team:
* Rawlings - It's best to stay back and use your explosive rounds. Try to shoot the Legionary's feet.
* Church - You have to use her Blood Ward ability. Church is completely weak against a solo Legionary and fighting a group is essentially a death wish. With her ability being active, she can instantly kill them with ease and not have to struggle on the battlefield.
* Black - She's easily the best character to use in the Bravo Team. You can either wait for them to show their head while hiding behind their shield or use her Telekinesis to stun them and head shot them with a bullet from her sniper.
- On the march in unfriendly terrain, the legionary would be loaded down with armour commonly lorica hamata, lorica squamata, or 1st-3rd century lorica segmentata, shield (scutum), helmet (galea), two javelins (one heavy pilum and one light verutum), a short sword (gladius), a dagger (pugio), a pair of heavy sandals (caligae), a sarcina (marching pack), about fourteen days' worth of food, a waterskin (bladder for water), cooking equipment, two stakes (sudes murale) for the construction of palisades, and a shovel or wicker basket.
