- Der Loch war ein See in der Mitte Loch Modans in Khaz Modan. Humphrey Grabungslied erzählt, dass in seiner Jugend junge Zwerge oftmals im Loch nach Sanddollars und Muscheln getaucht haben. - The Loch is the single most prominent feature of the dwarven territory of Loch Modan. It is the largest body of water on the continent of Khaz Modan, and were third in size in the entire known world after the Lordamere and Darrowmere lakes. Fed by an underground source, the loch was originally much smaller, but more than doubled its size after the dwarves of Khaz Modan built the Stonewrought Dam at the loch's northern end. Three islands and three islets doted the loch's waters, and remnants of the Second War can still be found scattered about the bottom. Several of the islets in the northern portion were inhabited by Stonesplinter troggs.

Jest to największy zbiornik wodny w Khaz Modan i trzeci co do wielkości w znanym świecie (po jeziorach Lordamere i Darrowmere). Zasilane z podziemnego źródła jezioro było niegdyś znacznie mniejsze, jednak zwiększyło swoje rozmiary po wybudowaniu przez krasnoludy Tamy Stonewrought na północnym krańcu. Trzy większe wyspy i trzy maleńkie wysepki wystają z wód jeziora, a na dnie można wciąz zobaczyć zatopione machiny oblężnicze orków.

The two Teckla were involved in a dispute of some kind, the details of which were never revealed. Steward was to inform both not to take any action, but to delay the resolution of their dispute until the Duke's return.

Aber weil um das Nichts herum noch was ist, ist das Nichts nicht einfach nur nichts, sondern ein Loch. Daher gibt es zwei Möglichkeiten, ein Loch zu entfernen. Nachdem das Auenland befreit war, ritt Frodo Beutlin nach Michelbinge, um alle Gefangenen aus ihrer misslichen Lage zu befreien.
