Al McLeod (born June 17 1949, Medicine Hat, Alberta) is a retired professional ice hockey defenceman who played 342 games in the World Hockey Association and 26 games in the National Hockey League. He played for the Indianapolis Racers, Phoenix Roadrunners, Detroit Red Wings and Houston Aeros. He played junior hockey for the Calgary Buffalos in 1966-67 and then played the next three seasons for the Michigan Tech Huskies. Undrafted by the NHL, McLeod signed as a free agent with the Detroit Red Wings in 1971.
