He shot Talor with an impulse laser, allowing him to remove the records of Omega's theft of information from the Matrix. Hedin was also an old friend of the Doctor. When the Castellan attempted to kill the Doctor to prevent the bond from taking place, Hedin sacrificed his life to save the Doctor, allowing Omega to complete the bonding. Einige Zeit später geht er zu Borusa, der inzwischen Lord Präsident ist, und droht ihm, damit er die Matrix abschottet, er wird jedoch zuerst vom Fünften Doctor, der die Exekution durch den Plan von Omega überlebt hat, und Nyssa unterbrochen. Der Doctor zeigt sich von Hedins Taten enttäuscht, da er ihn als einzigen verbliebenen Verbündeten sah. Hedin droht den beiden dann ebenfalls mit erhobener Waffe, als Commander Maxil mit seinen Wachen kommt und ihn erschießt. Dabei wird klar, dass Hedin für Omega gearbeitet hat, die Biodaten des Doctors weiterleitete und Borusa seine Taten in die Schuhe schieben wollte. (Arc of Infinity)
