The Narn i Hîn Húrin or, translated, the Lay of the Children of Húrin is a part of Unfinished Tales, and tells the story of Húrin's three children, primarily of Túrin Turambar. The history contained within the Lay was first compiled and retold by the poet Dírhavel, during the days of Eärendil. A "lay" is a narrative poem generally intended to be sung.
