Luckily, though, Gibbs had a plan which first involved getting Runion's dog to safety via Gibbs whistling and after telling Kate and Tony to cover their ears, Gibbs shot the propane tank attached to the trailer, causing it to blow up and presumably killing Runion who was inside at the time. Kate later adopted Runion's dog, calling the dog who was actually a girl "Toni".
