After he retired from training, Keerko roamed the galaxy in search of lost fighting traditions and ancient weapons. He discovered several forgotten sword fighting methods from the pre-Republic era, including an entire miscellany of techniques from the Chatos Academy. Keerko had a passion for archaic weapons and possessed a large collection of firearms and swords. The bulk of his collection was bequeathed to the Coruscant Antiquities Museum just before his death, although the Jedi Temple retained a large cache of lightsabers. After his travels around the galaxy were finished, Keerko returned to Coruscant and wrote a comprehensive lightsaber training manual called The Dance of Light which became an influential text for generations of Jedi. Keerko instructed many padawans during his tenure as battlemaster, including Musa Livada and her future student, Aduman Nical.
