  • In StarCraft, there are three damage types: concussive, normal, and explosive. The actual damage done depends on the type and the size of the target unit, as indicated in the following table: Protoss shields always take full damage.
  • Different attacks do different types of damage, and different enemies may be resistant or particularly vulnerable to certain damage types. The basic types are:
  • Damage types are the inherent properties of any given attack in the games; both friends and foes' attacks share this trait, and certain attacks can have more than one type. A few specific attacks (mostly from Alchemists) have no damage type and just deal raw damage. There are various kinds of damage types, but they can be grouped in two main groups.
  • Four primary damage types exist within Star Wars: The Old Republic: * Kinetic Damage * Energy Damage * Elemental Damage * Internal Damage The type of damage, Attack Type, current attributes, stats and effects of attacker and target, as well as in-game positioning, all come together to determine the actual damage received from an attack. This article focuses on aspects surrounding the damage types.
  • Champions Online features 12 different damage types (plus 1 special case). There are no special characteristics to each type - players and villains can be more resistant to certain types than others.
  • Damage is any means by which a unit's (i.e. the player, NPC, or a monster) current health can be reduced. All forms of damage in Crypt of the NecroDancer are classified by damage types. There are 3 damage types: Normal, Piercing and Phasing.
  • Different skills have different ways of dealing damage, and certain types of target or armor may be especially weak or resistant to certain types of damage dealt. By extension, this applies to any material's reaction to being subjected to various types of energy. A Damage Type is what applies to the way a skill deals damage when an Element isn't applicable. By extension, both of these can be invoked by Warheads, and are propably sub-families thereof.

Bullets in Random Kingdom III do this type of damage. * Explosive - Outward pressure being directed from the point of impact. This is likely invoking Fire simultaneously, however these two are not identical. * Compression - Inward pressure being exacted upon the target. This is the same as the Element Gravity. * Vibration
