Augara "Augie" Jowil was a young female Otolla Gungan musikagung who led the Great Municipal Band during the Republic Classic era. Hailing from the Lianorm Swamp on her homeworld of Naboo, Jowil was sent by her parents to study under famous musician Beezar Pert in the city of Otoh Gunga. Pert was the leader of the Great Municipal Band at the time, and when he chose to retire, the other band members elected Jowil to be his successor, in spite of her youth. The young Gungan took to the task enthusiastically and was able to propel the band to new fame in 32 BBY, when she composed the "Symponik Nabooalla," which was played in Naboo's capital of Theed during the victory celebrations after the Battle of Naboo.

| - Augara Jowil, beter bekend als Augie, was in de periode van de Battle of Naboo de leidster van de Municipal Band. Onder haar leiding deed de band als altijd dienst als de houders en vertellers van de rijke geschiedenis van de Gungans in de vorm van symfonieën, genaamd symponiks. Augie groeide op als wonderkind in de Lianorm Swamp, waar zij haar muzikale talenten vaak liet zien. Haar ouders stuurden haar naar Otoh Gunga om daar te studeren onder Beezar Pert. Beezar was een oude bandleider die bekend stond om zijn Symponika Crunchen-Grand, die de vorming van de eerste Grand Army vertelde. Toen Beezar met pensioen ging verkozen de bandleden Augie unaniem tot de nieuwe leider, ondanks dat zij nog relatief jong was. Hoewel zij nooit verwacht had ooit een verhaal belangrijker dan dat van de Grand Army om te zetten tot een symponik, kwam het toch zover op de dat Queen Amidala verscheen voor Boss Nass op de Gungan Sacred Place vlakbij de Gallo Mountains. Augie was present bij deze gebeurtenis, die een grote impact op haar had. Ze was verrast toen zij zag hoe respectvol en bescheiden hoe de mensen waren die als hun buren op Naboo leefden. Augie was zich ervan bewust dat ze getuige was van een nog nooit eerder vertoonde culturele verschuiving in de samenleving van Naboo. Ze begon meteen met het componeren van haar stuk, dat later bekend zou worden als de Symponik Nabooalla, het verhaal van alle inwoners van Naboo. Het eerste deel van de compositie werd met overweldigend applaus ontvangen door de menigte van mensen en Gungans die bijeengekomen was om de bevrijding van Naboo van de Trade Federation en de vrede tussen mens en Gungan te vieren. Met de symponik plaatste Augie zichzelf in de geschiedenis als een van de meest belangrijke leiders van de Great Municipal Band ooit.
