During the Ice Age, the Earth's orbit moved closer to the sun causing a thinner sheet of ice making certain mammals able to survive. Among these animals included horses and deer. With horses still alive, travel was made easier as well as warfare. Since many nomads lived in Asia, the nomadic peoples used horses to cross the Bering Strait into North America. This lead to the rise in cavalry-based warfare and the way of life today.
