When designing a costume for your alter ego, bear in mind the following: * Your costume is not just the clothes you wear; it's also the body you build, the face you use, the hair you style and the colour of your skin. You're going to be looking at it a LOT. * Your costume is permanent, unless you feel like paying for a tailor fee or getting another costume slot. When crafting, make sure you are absolutely satisfied with the results before starting the game with the character. * Make sure the body shape is exactly as you want it. You may be able to buy yourself a new costume in time, but the body is much more expensive to alter and gender is permanent. A misjudgement with a slider can give your character a pretty odd shape that you might not even notice until it's too late. *

A misjudgement with a slider can give your character a pretty odd shape that you might not even notice until it's too late. * Avoid clashing colors, unless you are going for a garish, badly colour-coordinated costume on purpose. * Not all super-heroes or villains wear spandex, or even a mask. You can look just as awesome mind-blasting enemies in a sharp business suit. The only person who's limiting your costume choice is you. * Remember that some costume options need a faster server than others. If you're experiencing server lag, just think; do you really need an animated tail, a fluttering cape and a glowing aura? * Other people may see a lot of the front of your costume but you'll be spending most of the game staring at your character's finely honed buttocks. So rotate your character while you're building them to make sure they look good from every angle. * Try to coordinate your costume with your powers or your character's personality. This doesn't mean you should deck out your hero or villain in red and yellow flames if they control fire, instead you could go for something a little less cliched, but still related. * Also, try to coordinate your costume with your back-story. If you put a radiation symbol on your chest, it's generally a good idea to have a radiation-related reason. * Even once you have the ability to wear capes, remember that you don't HAVE to. Not all costumes look good with a cape. * Some options limit other options - for example, choosing Monstrous legs severely limits your choice of footwear and pants. * You can indeed have a four-foot, skinny Tanker with an E-cup and it won't make a lick of difference to your abilities. Just remember that's not so original any more.
