abstract
  • River Ashrin is the river that runs from the Ashfrost Glacier in the far north of the Shores, down past Fortress Sarwick. From Sarwick the river continues further south to Ashrindale, where it makes a turn towards the west, past the Red Field and the Fields of Kheldom to finally reach the Sea of Winter through Tarloc. For the most part, the river is not easily crossed, as often the west or north shore consists of steep cliffs, with the exception of the narrow fords just south of the Shade Mountains, and south of Fortress Sarwick. For Frostkeep the river makes a natural barrier against the orcs on the eastern side of the river. The most well travelled crossing point of the river is the bridge at Ashrin Crossing just to the west of Ashrindale. Ashrin Crossing was made famous after the climactic battle that took place there between Frostkeep, Tarloc and the Red Guard.
