Zeth, Benzeel, and Breek often trained together, along with Breek's student Jinyx Windrunner. Zeth was the first of the three to open up to Kyriel, despite the fact that many Centurions regarded her with suspicion after she refused to join the Order of Keltrayu. He considered Jinyx something like a little sister and was very protective of her, though he pushed her hard in training. He and Benzeel went so far as to invite Jinyx's boyfriend, Raynar Tarq, to the Consul's Palace for breakfast to check him out. Like most Royal Guard pairs, Zeth and Benzeel were very close, working out a "good cop, bad cop" routine that played off Zeth's amiability and Benzeel's coolness. When Benz left the Guard in 153 ABY and was replaced by Aearbo Manitani, Zeth tried to help his younger sister overcome some of her manic commitment to self-improvement at the expense of other things. He and Aearbo accompanied Breek aboard the Valkyrie during her initial months as a Royal Executor, but in 154 ABY, Zeth rotated out of the Guard too. He returned to field duty as Serasuna Yun succeeded him. Zeth and Benz reunited on Rykar to meet Jinyx's Clanless friends, including Rose, Septh, and Jiro. In late 156 ABY, Zeth was briefly reinstated as a Royal Guard to protect the comatose Jadian Star, who was recovering from an assassination attempt. Zeth was a Soresu practitioner and carried a lightsaber with a blue blade. He was generally easygoing around those he knew well.
