| - Capaal was a major city on Gonia. It was the site of the Grand Slave Market. People arriving in Capaal were overwhelmed by the sounds, the smells, and the sights emanating from Capaal. It was a raucous, pungent, seething mass of activity, and was more vibrant than any place in the galaxy. Thousands of odors filled the air of Capaal from smoke to perfume, spices and food, and nerf spit roasting over roaring flames. Aerial jetties jutted out from the ancient walls, where freighters and transports would land. Everything was lit up by the oily yellow glow of the floodlights. There were tiled buildings and canopied platforms, and turret like towers and curious spheres, while stone walkways formed a network of paths. The noise was cacophonous and unbroken, while the stench was repellent. Many buildings were constructed on repulsorlifts, were sturdy yet almost weightless, and artfully curved to minimize wind resistance. It was a sprawling labyrinth that extended further than any ship could fly in a day and a night. Above, below, and on every side, there was feverish activity as life coursed through its veins. The air was stale, orange red, and throbbed like a beating heart.
