Kate Isitt studied at the Arts Education School and made her television debut in the early 1990s. She had a regular part in 1996 in the comedy Is it Legal? and also appeared in A Dance to the Music of Time, Peak Practice and The Tribe. In May 1999 she played Doctor Vickers in a single episode of Coronation Street. One year later she got her big break as Sally Harper in the successful BBC comedy Coupling, a role she played from 2000 to 2004, appearing after this with a regular role in Strictly Confidential. She is married to television director Nigel Cole.
